This Scrappy Bias Shawl was designed in garter stitch to use up your favorite scraps of fingering weight yarn that are too precious to get rid of. This delectable shawl is such a simple and addicting knit, with color changes happening however you desire.
By increasing on one edge every row and decreasing on the other edge every two rows, you get a wonderful, bias, garter shawl that makes a really fun asymetrical triangle shape. When choosing colors, keep in mind that the earlier rows in your shawl are much shorter so will take less yarn for the same width stripes. Best results are achieved in staggering the width of your stripes to appear random for that scrappy look.
